Summer happens

Summer. This summer I've been so busy but in a good way, I haven't even had time to post on the blog! And then I realized, I could just post photos, don't worry about text. This summer is my self imposed residency at our cottage in Sonoma. And so, without further ado, I will start posting again but without much text.

Some ideas I've been playing with. I've been wanting to work with
bright colors.
Just some glimpses into my studio where I'm 'playing' with ideas and into my garden adjacent to my studio, where I'm spending a lot of time.
Harvesting about six pounds a day of peaches! I think I might end up with
three dozen jars of peach jam.
What are you up to this summer? Any exciting projects? I'd love to hear!

  1. I so know what you mean. Summer up here is all light and everyone goes bonkers. The last thing you want to do is sit in front of a computer. It is almost raspberry season here. It's too bad we can't trade our yummy canning projects!

  2. summer certainly does happen and it seems to be rushing by. Loving the bright colours can't wait to see how they work out. And peach jam, sounds delicious.

I'm working hard (trying to anyway) on various projects that have to be delivered in the Autumn.

  3. @Maria, when summer hits Alaska you have to go with it don't you! Who wants to make quilts in the summer?! @Claire, you have been SO busy lately! That's wonderful news about all the shows!

  4. I love this combination of garden & studio. I think that's where the magic happens--when life and art truly collapse in one big inspiring heap. Trying to enjoy some downtime over here before it's suddenly the autumn rush. xoxo
